CDM- 355:Pre production paper work for horror
What is pre- production-
Pre-production is the process where the ideas generation come together and were we create all the necessary paper work to be able to create an audio visual product this is then followed by production and the post production. This is an important part of the work as it allows everything to run smoothly and makes sure that everything goes to plan and stays safe.
Mind-map
The mind map is used to create different ideas which allows us to brain storm and gain more information on are generated ideas which can then be used to pitch to my group and gain feedback on.

Directors treatment
The treatment is a run through of the idea you have come out with giving insight on the story and some of the key elements this can also consist of how long it is going to be, the people who will start in it , the camera shot/ angles you will have but allowing the reader see your idea in there head.
Shot list
The shot list is created to be followed during the days of shooting as it allows you to remember the shots that you want and need but also this helps to stay on track and can also make it easier for you as you could film all of the shots needed in one place before moving on and not having to go back on yourself.
Storyboard and shooting script
The storyboard and shooting script helps us see what the shot will look like on a camera or on a screen but it also tells us what movement the camera will be doing and how long it will last making it easier to know what is going to happen in a scene it. Finally it tells us whats happening in the story but the props and character that would be in the scene.
Risk assessment and recce
The risk assessment and recce is a really important part of the pre- production as it helps everyone be safe and beware of the hazards that are present and how to avoid them it also helps he production companies not get sued and also it stops down time for people getting injured . It also allows the production companies being able to plan ahead and know there limitation to the places they are shooting in and what they can do with cast and crew with setting it up.
Production schedule / daily shooting schedule
With these types of paper work they are both used in the same way the production schedule is used for the whole of the production and the daily shooting schedule is for daily use for different days which it is meant for they will both tell you where you need to be and at what time this helps people understand the timescale of the production and where everything should be but helps people stay on track so they know where they should at what time.
Call sheets
The call sheet is use to help the cast and crew understand where they have got to be similar to the daily shooting schedule but on this one i will also tell you how to get into contact with different people in different places so that it can help with a problem which then can be correct quickly so that it can run smoothly.
Model Release Forms
The modal release form allows a production to be able to take the image of a person to be used and edited to create an audio visual product this form also stops the team getting sued or into trouble for using this persons image with consent but allows the model to conform that hey are happy for it to be used.
