High and low key lighting 

Hight key lighting

Hight key lighting consists of having a scene or shot very bright this can be many different reasons such as trying to show emotion or contrast a tone but also to maybe make a new place such as a really bright place in clouds could be classed as heaven.

Barn doors allow for very confined flashlight strips or areas, and flash feathering.

Cucoloris or Cookie

This helps to block light to stop it being so bright but also creates mood and can create a tone for a scene as well.

Low key lighting 

Low key light is the opposite of high key such as it is used to make a scene or shot very dark in can also be used in many different ways such as making a scene scary, moody and tense. this can be seen in a lot of films examples of these can be fight club the godfather and joker.

It can be used to cast a shadow, provide negative fill, or protect the lens from a flare.

3 point lighting 

3 Point lighting is the main 3 different angles used for lighting an object or person this can be within a scene or photography these are a fill light , back light and key lighting . The fill light can be a soft light and key light can be a hard light and the back light can also be a soft colour light but this can be up to the director.

Light Modifiers and Diffusers

Modifiers cut and the shape light while Defusion lowers the intensity and soften light.
