- Unit 354 Beginning, Describe, analyse and evaluate the different 'Acts' in films -
I needed to analyse films and their structure.
-Unit 354. Character Development in TV and Film -
I needed to analyse a character and their arc throughout a film or TV show. I chose Prudence Knight from Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, portrayed by Tati Gabrielle.
Character development in stories is when a character changes either positively or negatively across the course of the entire story. They may start as arrogant and evil, then change and become a hero, or vice versa. Some character arcs aren't big, and therefore the character doesn't completely switch emotional sides, however will always change in some way. Whether that be entirely or purely on a matter of opinion, a character must have depth for the audience to appreciate.

There are six different story arcs a story will always contain with developing characters. These are the most commonly used and found character development patterns in stories. But they describe the characters emotions and development based on the events of the story. It doesn't focus the way the character changes emotionally and where their morals lie after the story begins and ends. These morals can be seen and views on the 9 Squares of Morality.

- Unit 354. Pitching Horror Film ideas -

I needed to pitch a horror film idea to my group to give inspiration for our final decision.
- Unit 354. PRODUCTION of Horror film
"COPYCAT" -
We took a base idea from our group and built upon the pitch, implementing our own thoughts and jumpscares
________________________
For our Horror film, we chose to use Maddy's idea to take forward and build on. "COPYCAT" was originally about Molly who got herself lost in the woods surrounded by creatures that want to steal the looks of any human who would walk through.

We liked this idea because it gave us ideas to use uncanny valley type effects and visuals for our creature ideas. We did end up changing the setting from a forest to a hotel - mainly because audio and lighting would be hard to get correct in each shot. We also said we should only keep one creature to reduce the need for extras, costuming and editing.
Next we started writing up script drafts, using inspiration from other pitches to help us come up with certain shots and effects we can play around with to get a creepy look.
